Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu will visit Portugal on Feb. 4 and 5 to participate in a meeting of the Socialist International, the party’s press office has said in a written statement.

Kılıçdaroğlu will deliver a speech at the panel whose theme is “Emerging and developing economies in an ‘out of crisis’ strategy.”

CHP deputy chairs Faruk Loğoğlu and Umut Oran are expected to accompany Kılıçdaroğlu during the meeting.

The main theme of the gathering is “The world economy: Our vision for growth, jobs and sustainable development,” Loğoğlu said in the statement.

Another topic of “Peace, security in the Sahel and support for democracy” was added to the agenda due to recent developments in Mail, he said.
